3. Are there any bag drops?
Yes. there will be two bag drops, one at Dalkeith (Edinburgh) and one at a control yet to be decided. You will be provided with an official LEL bag for your items and only these bags will be accepted on the bag drop. These bags will be large enough to hold sleeping mats and blankets, a change of clothing and a towel. A spare light and batteries is also a good idea. All bags will be returned to the start control to hopefully coincide with your arrival although this cannot be guaranteed.4. Do I have to wear a helmet?
It is not compulsory to wear a helmet under English or Scottish law. There are many arguments for and against helmet wearing. Therefore, it is the riders own choice whether they wear a helmet or not.5. What should I take with me on the ride?
This is entirely a personal choice . However you will need to take some form of cash or credit card to pay for your train fare back to the start should you withdraw. You will need your brevet card. The following items are suggested:-Tool Kit (see above)
